Anneke Theuniseen 

 

 

Anneke Theunissen has over 15 years of experience in Fairtrade and of these, 10 years working from Latin America with small holder producer organisations in organisational strengthening programs, with a special focus on planning processes, quality management systems, certification procedures and basic commercial and financial risk management. She currently works for the CLAC, the Latin American and Caribbean producer network of Fairtrade organisations in the Organisational Strengthening Program, coordinating a team of people spread over Latin America and the Caribean that works closely with the producer organisations. 

 

John Mutisya - Innovation Africa, Tanzania

 

Mutisya was born in northern Tanzania to a Tanzanian Mother and a Kenyan Father. After studying and traveling all over his native country, he earned an accounting degree and began working as a business development services provider with the International Labor Organization. There, he partnered with ActionAid International to support startups and existing entrepreneurs in rural areas to build and implement business plans. It was through this work that he discovered his love of field work in rural communities, and his passion for finding sustainable, business-oriented solutions to the challenges of rural energy and water access. He continued working with ActionAid on issues pertaining to rural education, agriculture, human rights and good governance until joining the Innovation: Africa team in 2012. Mutisya speaks English and Kiswahili fluently.

Suzanne Glazer - HP

 

Suzanne Glazer is the Product Owner for HP LIFE e-Learning (HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs).  HP LIFE e-Learning is an HP Sustainability and Social Innovation Flagship Program for Entrepreneurship Education developed and deployed in partnership with the non-for-profit organization Education Development Center (EDC inc).  Unemployment and underemployment is a critical issue globally. To address this problem, the HP Office of Sustainability and Social Innovation has developed HP LIFE e-Learning, a free, online training program helping people around the world to gain the real-life IT and business skills needed to start or grow a very small business, in their own time, at their own pace. These web- based courses are interactive and full of information and practical exercises that give people the skills to develop their own livelihood.
