Below are thejudges that will be assessing and grading the applications throughout and at the end of the Hackathon.

Blake Burris - CEO and Chief Hacktivist, USA

 

A geek entrepreneur at heart, I cut my teeth on Apple IIs, Commodore and Amiga computers before AOL and the Internet became the platform for connectivity and innovation. Today, I'm leading #cleanwebmovement which seeks to answer pressing resource issues related to energy, transportation, waste, water and climate change.

 

Since 2005, I've organized grassroots technology events like Barcamp; was a founding organizer iPhoneDevCamp; and have produced several Facebook Developer Garages. I was also the first recipient of Facebook's fbFund back in 2008. I've been fascinated by alternative energy since reading about Amory Lovins' passive solar home in Popular Science and building my first solar hot dog cooker in the 4th grade.I'm into fitness, nutrition, cycling, cooking and hanging out with my family when not traveling to evangelize Cleanweb.

 
Barak Goldstein - CEO Terralab Ventures

 

A serial entrepreneur and leader of the Israeli Cleanweb community, Barak Goldstein established successful cleanweb companies and a portfolio of renewable projects of more than $1 billion. With 10 plus years in private equity.


He received his MA in economics from Tel Aviv University and graduated from the executive program at INSEAD.

 

Yaniv Golan - Lool Ventures

 

Yaniv is a General Partner at lool ventures, an Israeli-focused early stage fund. Prior to lool Yaniv was an active angel investor, VP at AOL, and a co-founder at Yedda (now AOL Answers).

Roy Carthy - Managing Partner - Initial Capital

 

Roi is well known in the Israeli startup community as a connector, advisor, and as the Israeli correspondent for TechCrunch. Since becoming a professional in the industry, Roi has advised startups in areas ranging from Investment and Profitability Strategies, to Beta & General Availability Launch Programs, to Product Strategy. Roi has also worked at companies such as Zend Technologies, and most recently at Soluto, as Head of Products.

 

Gur Biron - Head of Sales Operations, Israel, Greece and Africa, Google

 

Gur has been leading Google's sales and strategy operations for the past 3 years. As part of his role Gur is involved and leads key strategic projects that shape the strategic and operational direction of Google's work in those markets. Prior to Google, Gur worked in the tech and consulting industries in Israel and abroad. Gur holds an MBA from the Booth School of Business, of the University of Chicago

 

Dani Goldsher - Vital Capital, An Impact Investment Private Equity Fund Focused on Sub-Sahara Africa

 

Dani is A certified public accountant (CPA) with an MBA degree of the university of Tel Aviv. Current role as a Chief Financial Officer of companies which executes projects in emerging markets mainly in the continent of Africa. Projects in the fields of infrastructure, Real estate, Agriculture, GIS, hospitals, Energy and others. An experienced senior consultant from the Financial advisory service department in Deloitte. And a senior auditor from the Audit department of Deloitte.
