Incubation & Acceleration Opportunities

The Pears Program for Global Innovation works to increase Israel’s contribution to international development through technology-based, financially sustainable solutions to problems facing people affected by poverty.

The Pears Challenge is a fellowship program that makes it possible for outstanding innovators and entrepreneurs based in Israel to establish ventures with the power to make a real difference in the lives of people in the developing world. It  is the flagship initiative of the Pears Program.

 

What the Pears Challenge offers:

Over the course of a year, a small group of selected, experienced Israeli entrepreneurs and innovators are guided through the process of generating new technologies and structuring business plans relevant to developing countries. Fellows receive ongoing support for their innovations, beginning with prototyping, piloting and connecting with seed financing, through to successful commercialization and scale up.

T-Hub is India’s largest incubator, boasting of a 70,000 sft grandeur that is the first real estate property of T-Hub and over 200 startups working out of the building. A unique public/private partnership between the government of Telangana, three of India’s premier academic institutes (IIIT-H, ISB & NALSAR) and key private sector leaders, T-Hub aims to be the catalyst in building Hyderabad as a start-up city and Telangana, as a startup state. What T-Hub’s acceleration program offers:

Founded in 2001, Villgro is India’s oldest and foremost social enterprise incubator, focused on solving some of India’s most critical problems through market-based models. Villgro inspires, mentors, funds and incubates innovative social enterprises in four sectors across India: education (includes skill training), healthcare, agriculture and energy.

 

What Villgro’s incubation program offers:

  • Seed funding of Rs. 20 lakhs +

  • Support for up to 3 teams

  • End-to-end support in incubating the ideas and converting them into viable low-cost technologies solutions largely impacting the bottom of the pyramid and general public

  • High-touch mentoring with business, technical and clinical experts

  • Connections with relevant people in the industry
